We recently received a wonderful donation from a primary school pupil from Ripon.
Hamish took part in a ‘Fiver Challenge’ – he spent his fiver on seeds and set up a gardening business, weeding and planting at the gardens of friends and neighbours and also sold flowers and plants at school. He decided to split his profits between BSFA and another charity that helps schools in Africa.
We really LOVE it when schoolchildren here want to help schoolchildren in Africa and make huge efforts to raise funds for us. Thank you Hamish. We have decided to put his funds towards the creation of a school garden at one of our schools – it seemed appropriate!
